Oxygen Sensor dead

Found out that my oxygen sensor is dead. Wondering what a good replacement is. If i want to log stuff is it better that i go for a wideband o2 sensor? Are they heated and bolt right on?

also my mechanic got a premium bosch sensor for $130 canadian. Is that specific model wideband? cant tell from their site

you need to keep both stock narrow band oxygen sensors (one on the O2 housing, the other is after the catalytic converter) for the ecu to work properly. Unless if you have something like dsmlink installed then u can get rid of the rear O2 sensor and use a wideband in place for it but you would also need to get rid of the cat to get a good reading from the wideband.

If you don't have dsmlink, you can weld the wideband somewhere before the cat but not to close to the turbo. But you would also need to keep your other 2 narrow band sensors in place.

oh so right now i dont have dsmlink - wont be getting till after winter. so ill grab a wideband than

so that means im better off getting a regular o2 sensor because i have to keep both narrow ones anyways..

is it worth paying the extra on the bosch sensors?

Go to oxygensensors.com. Get the denso one for 50. It will do just fine.

oh ok. what about the ones on ebay? for 23.. that seems fake just because of the price

What you pay is what you get. Get the one from oxygensensors.com like stated above.

i would grab the stock one for now, and when you get the dsmlink you can just swap out the rear o2 sensor with the wideband. That way you wont spend any extra time or money welding another fitting.
