will chrank but not start

hello everyone my name is Brad im new to the dsm world im havein some problems with the 96 eclipse gs i really need some help asap i car will chrank but not turn over the fuel pump is not turnin on at all when the key is on i dont know whats up someone help me please

There is a fuel pump check connector on the firewall. Try to use that and see if your fuel pump turns on then. Your fuel pump could be dead or you could have blown a fuse.

Yeah i would have to agree with 19tsi95awd check the fuel pump connector and check your fuses before you do anything else. IF! and when you replace your fuel pump remember to replace the filter as well because alot of times the fuel pump will fail due to a clogged filter. You wouldnt wanna buy a new pump and have that fail right away because of a 10 dollar part

Also when you turn your key over listen to see if your fuel pump is coming on. If not check the fuel pump relay, you can switch it with one that has the same prongs, see if that works. If not, check the connector on the wiring harness, and on the fuel pump itself. When all else fails, go to Advance Auto Parts and buy a new fuel pump.

Check and see if you're getting spark. If no plugs are sparking, check your CAS. Search if your friend.

i dont know what a cas is and no the fuel pump do not come on when i turn the key
