I now am the owner of a 1997 GST. I have been doing some reading up on the many different variations of parts I can put together to make one hell of a street rod... One main thing i've noticed is the 7 bolt is bad about crank walk. Should I invest into the 6 boltfor this reason because I plan on BOOSTING the hell out of my DSM. Anyone have any suggestions of what combinations have worked rather well together? I am a welder so I have a decent budget to work with. I have a few stock parts that came with the car as well including the original 5 spd. tranny that I will have re-built once i get the list of parts in order. Any suggestions and/or comments would be greatly appriciated. Ill do some more reading up to try and compose a parts' list.:thumb:

Picked it up for $500... The black is old card board or something and the hood is not attatched (never re-attatched it after pulling motor).

Don't rush the build...do everything right the first time. Why would you want to pull a motor twice? As far as the motor goes..6 bolt; for the turbo of choice i would go with a holset. They make great power only thing is a lot of low end boost.(Tires tires tires)
