stuttered and died

alright so today i went to start my car it fired up stuttered made a noise like it was choking (best i can describe it) the car kinda shook and it died. went to start it up again and it runs perfect idle at 800. its done this quite a few times now what could it be?

could be an infinite number of things.. how long did it stutter for before it shut off ?
I would suggest checking the basics. Plugs, fuel filter, fuel pump rewire relay etc.. again, it could be anything from your computer to a bad or failing plug.
Also does it have any other symptoms besides this cold start problem?

it all happened in about 4 seconds from me turning the key to it running at 1000 rpms then dropped down to about 100 rpms tried to stay alive then died. i can't think of any other symptoms

I would suspect a sticky/failing fuel pump. Does this happen only when the car is started up from a cold start or do symptoms also persist when the car has been driven and is at operating temperature?

its gotta be the CAS....where you drive for bit and then it dies...but starts then dies...

ya its only cold starts, and if its going to die it does it right away like in the first 5 seconds of me turning the key, always starts up the second time and after its running it perfectly fine.

mine sputtered and died only to sound like a sewing machine when i turned it over glad to hear yours started back up for ya
