Ok so im planning on 400-500fwhp.
I plan on running a 20g tdo5h Mitsu flange around 30psi
First things first i want to drive this car daily.
I have 680 injector's...but heres the catch no intercooler? Just a MAFT setup with some meth injection. Had a few questions about that...
Need advise on cams..pistons...rods...2.0 ? 2.1 ? 2.3 ? 2.4

Bring all your questions

i would go with:

for the block:
.20 bore
Wiseco Pistons
Eagle rods
Eagle crankshaft
ACL Trimetal Racing bearings
Cometic Metal headgasket
new oil pump,water pump,new seals,BSEK
ARP headstuds

Head:
1mm oversized ss valves with stiffer springs and retainers
HKS 272 Cams
Port the head

i wouldn go for the stroke build, just keep it stock. This setup would be good for 500+ FWHP ;)

Damn you guys are way overdoing it. Stock 1g head has been brought to 9s unported why would he need to waste money on porting it His goals are only 400-500whp. He could easily get by with just a 1g rod 2g piston combo and saving himself 1-2k. A 20g will be capable of making 500hp with proper tune and supporting mods, he doesnt need a huge holset or borg warner turbo.

The reaon why i posted that is for being safe on high boost, the guy said he wants to run 30psi of boost, stock rods and 2g pistons prob won't hold that amount of boost ;)

Only thing that would need to hold the boost is a good head gasket and a properly re-surfaced head.

I would stay with a 2.0L for nice long rpm band and build that head so you can bring it up to 9000k. That way lag doesnt matter. Worst thing to have is a stroker with a big turbo and still cant spool it.

The gt3076r is the big one and can push enough for 500whp. Expecially with some race gas/e85 or injection.

Supposedly, the stock rods and pistons arent supposed to hold that much boost, but my stock motor sees 28-30 psi regularly. You would def need larger injectors, my 850's are maxed out at my boost levels and I see a little detonation. Then again, I dont have my SFAC or wideband hooked up yet either. :p

Holset HX35/HX40 or BW S256/S258 is cheaper than a 20g and spools at the same rate and can put out more power.

And if you're shooting for 500 fwhp I think about rebuilt your transmission w/ an LSD.

Well depending on the car i have in a year... Im either going to use my fwd with a team rip with lsd insert. Or a AWD talon with a shep and welded center diff.

FWD car will mostly be street. AWD car will be mostly track

And the reason i am using a 20g is because i just bought a evo 3 exhaust manifold.

About the injectors...680s Won't cover
Dsm water alcohol Injection DevilsOwn Injection
