Megasquirt install Eclipse GST auto

The car is a Eclipse GST from 1997. I am wiring my ms at the moment and I was wondering if I have to modify my megasquirt since my transmission is automatic? And then if someone knows, can I use Lancer EVO 3 camshaft position sensor? My harness has seperate wiring for crank angle sensor+camshaft position sensor.

The 1G CAS fits onto the 2G head and cams.

You will have to use a 1G CAS, the MS has problems with the 2G. And if your car is an automatic then it has its own computer/controller. You should let the ECM handle everything else, while the MS handles the Air/fuel/spark. That will be the best way to go.

Thanks for the PM Import warrior. And thank you interex and tkelly for your answers. I am going to let my original ECU handle everything else besides AIR/FUEL/SPARK. I will also remove EGR from my engine. Will I get CEL when I just remove these features?

My crank angle sensor looks like this. It is not 2G or 1G. It is from an EVO 3.

Maybe this could be a solution?

Does anybody have a ECU pinout with wirecolors for 2G? It would be really helpful.

Does anybody know if I will get CEL for throwing the EGR away?
