I was just wondering if anyone has removed the resonator from their apexi cat-back exhaust and if so how it sounds? If you have a video clip that would be great.(on a turbo dsm)

Why would you want to hack up a $500 cat-back? I'v also owned a apexi N1, and would never think of doing that. The resonator is there to muffle the sound alittle bit and make it sound better. I could see if you just had an N-1 muffler, but why hack up a beautiful cat back like the apexi N-1.

I agree. I there is any hacking to be done on exhausts then buy a cheap ebay one and hack away.

I ask because the resonator doesn't seem very important on a turbo car. I've heard plenty of them that sound great with just a muffler. My car doesn't have a cat on it so I'm going to have to 'hack' the exhaust anyway when cut out a section and weld in flanges for a cat; so if it sounded good without a resonator I was just going to put a cat in its place for emissions.
