ok so i bought a pte 60 trim for my 2g and i got a cast manifold with a external gate. not sure who makes it and i went to bolt the turbo setup on the car and the comp. housing of the turbo is hitting the coolant lines. i know you are supposed to be able to spin the comp. housing and get enough room but i tryed and anyway i turn the housing it def dosent give me enough space to bolt it up. does anyone know of a aftermarket manifold with external gate that will give me enough space so that the turbo will fit up with ease? also its a mitsu flange on the manifold

:dsm:

.....okay so i hear that people just end up beating in the coolant hose that the tubo hits to make room. has anyone done this and got a pic of it? just so i know what it should end up like?

Man people have done it. I would only do it if you needed less then a 1/2" inch of room. Even then I'd second question it. However, I have seen some people really crush their pipes to make a turbo fit. I wouldnt but Im just weird like that I guess.

a friend of mine used a N/A waterpipe, put a wooden dowl in side smaller then the pipe and used it to put a dent in with out crushing the water pipe. Don't know if that will help you or not but would save your waterpipe.

yea im not really sure about starting to smash things in to make stuff fit. but do you guys know of any manifolds that would work with that im talking about? like that would give me enough space from the block

try the FP Manifold, only one i can think of off the top of my head.
