1G Engine Swaps

Hi everyone, I am looking at buying a 94 laser. This is the base laser with a 1.8L SOHC motor. I was just wondering what engines I can swap into this car. The engine it has is small and I'm looking at the 2.0L DOHC turbo. Can I do this, I don't see why not. Thanks for your help.

I'm 99.9% positive that your gonna have to get a complete wiring harness for the 2.0 if you want to change it. I did a auto to man conversion in a n/t with a turbo trannie and I could'nt find a n/t man harness, so I had to "build" my own harness out of three. It was a PITA. So figure it out, and plan on getting all the parts before you start!
I.E.
1) Harness

2) motor/trannie/driveaxles

3) ecu

4) all the mounts and other hardware

5) hood ( the 1.8 hood will bearly clear, if at all)
So you really need to be on the look out for a parts car that has every thing in it with possibly a bad head, and then change the head such.
Just my suggestion from the experiences I have had!!

actually, alot of people have told me that u cant swap the bigger motors into em...im not an expert tho, just tellin u what i'v heard.
