gear grind

ok so this happends whwn i start the car only if im going it will not grind. only tryed it in 1st 2nd and rev. so it feels like it falls into 1st or rev w/e but then i start to drive and it grinds really hard and does not move. then after it does that it falls just a little bit more. i can feel when its not in so i keep trying to pull it out of gears but it wont fall all the way in tell i let it grind. anyone know anything? 91 5 speed tsi awd

Could be a number of things from clutch engagement, to syncros. Your post was/is extremely hard to follow and understand...

Does it actually go into gear, or just grind when trying to put it in gear? Or is it grinding while in gear? I couldn't gather from the confusing run-on sentences and incorrect grammar.

....I take it u mean when u go to shift into gear, it grinds, then goes int the gear....? that is most likely ## scynros....if u keep grinding, it only get worse, then it won't go in at all.

u said 1st and 2nd gears, u shouldnt be downshifting into 1st as it is, and u can skip 2nd....trust me, loosing 2nd gear is no fun....u deff. dnt want to loose 1st, or both together...
