I am in need of a kit or maybe I have to put one together myself. I need to go from the FPR to the tank. I have searched and looked around but the only thing I can find is kits that go from rail to FPR to stock return line. Anyone know of a place to buy a kit to go from the rail to the tank??? I spoke with STM and they said they are making one but I need one ASAP.

Are you sure. I looked and all I could find was kits that went from rail to fpr to stock return line. I am looking to replace the return line with -6 AN SS line from the FPR to the tank.

Dude just make one. It will be two fittings, some hose, and something to hold it to the undercarriage. Not a big deal.

Yes but I don't know what fittings I need. I could measure out the length and just order a little extra to be on the safe side. What should I use to hold onto the undercarriage?

Well I think I am going to wait one more week to see if STM puts their kit up for sale. If not then Im gonna end up putting my own together.

I'll assume your FPR has the -6an return outlet. You'll need

I have never upgraded the return line on a 1g but I believe you can just clamp the SS hose to the return line nipple at the tank if not you need a fitting there.

I've asked MANY vendors to make this and they don't want to mess with it. The stock return has been on many high horsepower DSM's so they feel they don't need to make one. Yea it's easy but I don't want to deal with it either, I'd rather pay to have it put together from people who do this everyday.

What type of fitting would be needed for the tank? A bulkhead? Anyone know the fitting that would be needed for an Aeromotive SX FPR?

I am not doing because of high HP. I am doing it because my stock one is all rusted and ready to fall apart. I am replacing the entire fuel system except for the rail and the injectors. Everything is going to be -6 AN. I have an Aeromotive FPR and will be getting the fuel lab fuel filter with STM's tank to rail kit. I am getting a gas tank that is in better shape, going to clean it, scrape it, and paint it. No more rusty stock fuel lines. Everything brand new.

I got the FFWD High-Flow kit found: Here. Darren comes off as an asshole and there are much cheaper kits out now that I would go with.

When it comes to the gas tank, I would sand blast it. Get the $14 sandblasting adapter at home depot which lets you use a standard air compressor. Then some sand and you're all set. Doing it this way saves time over standard sanding, cleaner finish and it's cheaper. Hope this helps.

Your best bet is this:

Buy 2 of the above
Buy 4 -6AN fittings
Buy 25 feet of SS line
That is all you need

If you want to run stainless from your filter, I recommend to upgrade the filter to one with -6AN fittings:
Buy one -6AN female from top of filter
Buy one -6AN off line to rail
Buy a -6AN to -8AN male to male.
Drill and tap your rail for a -8AN (I believe you need a 11/16" drill and a 3/4-16 tap)

Make sure to use teflon tape on every fitting and tighten the hell out of them! Do it once, do it right.

I am not sure. I just bought a 1G without a title as a parts car and it not at my house yet. So I haven't gotten started on all of this yet. I cant wait to get this all done. My DSM has been running with only 25 PSI of fuel pressure since I bought it. I just want to be able to drive it finally.

Actually, you don't want to use any teflon tape when using AN fittings.

Whats the best way to clean the inside of the gas tank out?

Maybe this will help:

I'd also check out this thread for some pictures of a nice fuel system. It'll show you how they did the feed and return lines at the pump, as well as an under car shot of the lines (it's on a 2g, but the concept is the same):

I just got PM today about the kit from STM.

Nothing yet. We are very busy and have not had much time to make anything new.

sorry

Should I still get the tank to rail kit from stm and just get the parts for the return myself, or should I just make the whole thing myself?
