2G stand alone rewiring 'potential sticky'

ive searched and ive searched but can not just find a straight froward engine rewire post or diagram
the plan is to go with a megasquirt pre build ems
i have a 2g with a 6bolt in it but never have seen it run do to the previous owner
i have a 1g and a 2g wiring harness and would not like to use them (maybe the connectors if completely necessary)
i would love to understand every wire in my car

what do i need
this is a huge amount of information but man there must be someone out of the 50000 dsmers on here that could help me.
