TOB collar mushroomed

Well I was driving my car yesterday and my fidanza 3.2 clutch pretty much exploded, and it mushroomed the TOB collar a bit. Can I file off the mushroom and continue using my tranny? This is practically a brand new Jacks Racing Trans and the clutch is almost new aswell. Any help would be greatly appriciated.

I got sand in my friends TOB from sandblasting. I cleaned his with Carb cleaner really good, blew it out and shoved as much grease in it as I could and It still works. I never told him. I have heard not to go with fidanza clutches.

Im not talking about the TOB itself, I am talking about the TOB collar on the tranny. The part that the TOB slides on is mushroomed.

Honestly man, trying to smooth that thing back out might work, but you might get binding of the TOB if its not perfect and that will just cause more problems. You can try it, but I'd try to find out if that part can be replaced. I've never ripped one of these trannies apart (that far, anyways) so I don't know if it can be replaced, but its worth looking into.

I think im going to try and smooth it out the best I can then use it. I also sent an email to Jack's trans asking him what he thought about the situation.

. This kid wont spend more money then he has too. we had to reset the timing and he didnt even get a new t-belt kit.
