Kitchener,
a 2g mas in a 1g can someone explain the benifits of having this and i read soemthing about haveing an eeprom ecu will help? just a decent runthrough of what it does and if its a good idea to get one thatnks!!!

You don't necessarily have to have an Eprom to run it.

You need to make a 1G to 2G MAF connectors, basically you need the plug that you plug into the 2G maf, and the plug thats on your 1g Maf(The actual maf itself not the plug you plug into it) pretty sure you can find specifics for wiring on this via VFAQ or searching)

now onto the trickier parts, a 1g maf will flow more than the 1g maf so you need to find a way to compensate for that, by getting 550CC injectors. Just getting the MAF and injectors isn't quite perfect you should also find a way to compensate even more for this.

This is where the Eprom can come in. You can get a custom ship made to run the 2g Maf and 550cc injectors, which (arguably) will almost make your car run perfect. A lot of people still say that you should have an SAFC just to fine tune what the chip cannot make perfect.

It's simple but complicated all at the same time..

EDIT: You could also get away without having to get the injectors and fine tuning with an SAFC, may not become perfect but its possible. But just adding the MAF you will not gain a HUGE amount..
