14b install on 2g

ok... this is a little hard for me too explain so hopefully it will be clear enough to follow along... it has to do with all the lines that run to the turbo... ok the oil drain is the bottom which i bought a new one... and the oil feed (oil filter location) is the top and i also got that covered. With the 14b that I bought it didnt come with the banjo bolts and lines for whatever goes through the front and back side.. I believe the back side is oil (head location) and front is water/coolant. now can I use the banjo bolts and hard lines off of the T25 and just connect them right to the 14b?

Yes, you can use the T25's water lines, but you may have to swap them around and/or bend them slightly to fit correctly. Use your best judgment there. Don't bend the lines at too great an angle or you risk kinking/tearing them. If you need to, get new rubber hose to connect the hard lines to their sources (a good idea anyway if the rubber lines are original) and use longer hoses to minimize bending the hard lines. Also, it's a good idea to use new copper crush washers on the banjo fittings. These can be purchased at the dealership, though they usually have to order them, or you can usually get them from most auto parts stores.

Make sure to do a boost leak test when you're done installing the turbo. And keep boost down if you don't have the supporting mods to increase it over stock.

Im confused. Arent the front and back locations the water feed and return?

yes and the top and bottoms are oil feed and return so yes to answer your question and to answer mine is which one is better 2g t25 or 1g 14b

yes be careful when u bend the water line....remember that u can always use a longer rubber line, which u have to use anyways....

....when I did the swap and ran it for the 1st time, I was ammazzeeddd....it pulls a lot harder, longer, and is 100% better. 14b>t25 anytime...

...I can't wait to go 16g and feel the firrence one again like b4!!
