OK considering i don't know what this is (see pic), other then semi-circular seal according to Haynes, but when i ask for that at a auto parts store they have no clue what i mean, maybe you guys would.

This is a 420a motor from a 97 DSM, its on the driver side at the intake cam. i can find them for the 4g63 motor on rock auto but not the 420a, are they interchangeable?

It seams like mine is leaking, do i need to replace it or can i just pop it out ATV it and put it back?

If i need to replace it anyone know of a spot i could pick one up?
I did notice the ones for the 4g63 are rubber but mine is metal.

so long as its not cracked or any thing you could just pop it out, clean it up real good and seal it with either RTV sealant or some gasket maker.

It looks like the half moon plug that you get with a valve cover gasket set. Usually you get the half-moon, 4 spark plug well gaskets, and 1 valve cover gasket in a full set. I'm not familiar with the 420a engine but I do know that on the 4G63, as long as it's still plyable with no cracks, you can reuse it with some rtv sealant. Use a very thin bead and you should be good.

Bane, on the 420a, the half moon is aluminum.

As mentioned, though, if it isn't damaged, pull it out, clean, and reinstall with some silicone.
