EngineRunup Water/Meth Kit
I have a very specific question about my Engine Runup Water methanol Kit. I just recently got a 98 GSX with the kit halfway installed. It looks like someone tried to fix it but was unsuccessful. The Enginerunup.com website isnt working and I have no wiring diagrams. I need help wiring this up.
I have a single stage, with the EBC option. I have a relay, switch, LED light, EBC, and flow controler. I have no idea what goes where. I need to know what wires on the relay go where (ie what color wire goes where) as well as the flow controller wires, EBC wires and so on. Anyone with this kit please help me out.
Thanks in advance

i think they closed down i just recently bought a stage 1 kit from them (different from yours) i have a wiring diagram for a stage 1 kit but i dont know if it will help you. although if you bought it straight from them, it should have a wiring diagram and general instructions inside the box.
anyway il look for my instruction manual and see if how i can help you with you install.

Wiring the EBC
Thats the diagram I needed. Now I need to know how to wire up the EBC inline with the check valve. The way its set up now is the EBC is between the check valve and the injector and mount. It has the 2 wires coming out of it. Where do they go? do they tap into other wires? do they interject other wires? Thanks again in advance again.
I forgot to say thank you, so..... Thanks Chris. I appreciate it a lot.

no problem buddy. i checked my manual to try and see if there is any material there about an EBC. But since i just got the stage 1 kit, sadly there's nothing there about how to connect the ebc. but let me check my emails with gregg (owner of enginerunup) maybe there's something there. will get back to you.

I looked at your profile, it doesnt say much. I suggest you update it with all your mods so we can better help you with your troubleshooting or problems.
the reason i said that is that now, im going to ask you if you're running dsmlink. because if you are, you dont need that EBC you can control the meth using the dsmlink's nitrous control, therefore widens your tuning options with regard to your meth.
Im running my alky system activated via dsmlink. it's pretty simple and effective IMHO.

Yeah, I was said to hear they shut down too. We've bought a lot of stuff from gregg in the past and never had any problems.

true and his customer service is excellent. He replies to every single one of my emails no matter how dumb my questions would seem like. I had an inkling already when i was kept shooting him an email about fabricating my own meth tank (which i did), and never got a reply.
and then i as supposed to order another set of injectors from him but when i logged on to their site, it was already down

Ok, So I do have DSMLink, but am new to the whole DSM sceen and dont know much about its features yet. Also, the previous owner had the EBC with the DSMLink so im not to sure about what to do. Anywho, how did you set urs up (wiring and feat setup in DSMLink). Anything you can help me with would be appreciated. Thanks again.

Good for you that you have DSMLink then i assume you have a 2g box so looking at the diagram posted above, ditch that "Pressure Switch" and just connect the #85pin of the relay to pin out number 3 (Fuel pressure solenoid) on your ECU.
if you have a 2g ECU, this is the PIN out diagram if you dont already have one.
Now once everything is connected. For testing purposes only....I suggest you remove the injector from where you mounted it, and then do the following steps via opening your dsmlink with your laptop:
1. Go to ECU --> Nitrous
2. Click on "enable nitrous control"
3. Fill in the following feilds:
Activate Above : 0 (zero) RPM
But Below : 7000 (whatever number you want to put > 3500) RPM
TPS Above : 5%
Speed Above : 0 (zero) mph
Knock below : 15 deg
4. Copy to ECU
Now once you've done this, just rev a bit during idle and check if your injectors are spraying! It should spray a very fine mist of liquid. If it does then you're system is working properly already Oh make sure that you "arm" the pump using the on/off switch that comes with the kit. Obviously, if the LED is lighting then it's armed. If not, then no matter what values you put in the nitrous fields, your system wont work.
So whats next? mount your injector again and repeat step one and input YOUR desired values on the fields. This gives you full control on when your meth kit will activate. Make sure that you put a very HIGH value on "Knock below".
Let me know if you need more help.

So I just tap into the wire? Im guessin its that wire because of the DSMLink and thats the wire that controls the Nitrous Control?

The DSMLink ECU takes the place of the "pressure switch". so take out the pressure switch from your system coz you wont need it anymore.
Then tap the #85pin of the relay to Pin out #3 on your ECU.

no need to connect the check valve to anything. the only thing that's needed to be connected to the check valve is the tube from the pump and the injector on the other end.
can you post a picture of the check valve you're talking about with the wires? thanks.

Pics
Ok, so heres what I have under the hood.
First pic shows the EBC, Check Valve and Pressure Switch.
Second is the wires from the EBC.
Third is the Check Valve.
So heres a brief little description of what wires are going where........(sorry if im going to far into this, just want to get it right without having to go back)
Relay
Pin 30 - Positive batt post and Power on rocker switch
Pin 85 - Load on rocker switch
Pin 86 - #3 Pin on ECU
Pin 87 - Shurflo pump and EBC
LED
LED wire 1 - Shurflo and EBC wire
LED wire 2 - NO on Check Valve
EBC
Wire 1 - Shurflo pump
Wire 2 - NO3 on Pressure switch
Pressure switch
NO - EBC wire 2
NC - (not connected)
Check Valve
NO - LED wire 2
NC - (not connected)
Ive also included a drawing of what I have currently set up. I know its a lot, but without speaking with someone it makes it a little harder. I also tried to make it look as good as I could. Any questions lemme know.

Oh now i see where you're getting confused.
Ok looking at the diagram i originally posted (see post #2 on this thread). You dont need the pressure switch, the EBC, and that check valve on your picture anymore.
The only check valve that you would need is the one-way check valve that is supposed to be connected to the injector nozzle.
In the diagram that you made, i saw an error in the connections. PIN 85 of the relay is supposed to be connected to PIN#3 on the ECU; NOT PIN 86 of the relay. PIN 86 of the relay is supposed to be connected to LOAD of ROCKER SWITCH. If you connect your system the way you did your diagram (as corrected), your meth kit should be up and running. Dont connect anything above the "firewall" on your diagram anymore. Keep the pressure switch and the EBC or sell it. With the DSMLink, you dont need them anymore.
This is the only check valve that you will need to run your system via DSMLink. It is connected to the nozzle mounted on the up pipe going to the IM.
Hope this helps.

Ok, I can eliminate all that and change the wires aroud. But I dont have the check valve that you circled. Where could I get that? Also, I haven't taken the elbow out of the intake and am not sure if the actual injector fitting is in there, how do I check that or where do I get another? Thanks again for all your help.
