I'm in the middle of a 16g install, just wanted to ask a quick question and see if some of you guys could give some insight. At the end of the first night of the turbo install i turned on my headlights to help me see all the tools and stuff i needed to pick up and organize, when i was finished i went to turn them off...parking lights and fogs turn off fine, but the headlights stayed on. i tried to brush it off and just leave it for the next day, only when i opened my door the interior lights didnt come on, my power windows wont roll up, radio says code, and my turbo timer's volt meter goes crazy with random numbers. i disconnected the battery, next day i checked the fuses and i somehow managed to blow the 100A alternator fuse. that was the only fuse blown though inside and out.

i've got all kinds of things unplugged (MAF, O2 sensors out, radiator fans unplugged/pulled, etc) and my headlights are aftermarket HID's, which havent given me a problem since i've put them in.

any idea's as to why the alt fuse would have blown and my whole car seems to be going crazy?

Nut on the alternator that hold two positive leads on the alternator. If the O2 housing hit that or a wrench hit that, it will burn up that fuse. Happens to everyone.

oh snap, i'm sure thats what happened to me then. i wasnt careful at all about touching the alt with wrenches or the o2 housing since i had no idea it would cause a prob.

got a new fuse at the parts store today though so hopefully that'll fix my prob's
