Rust near brake area! please help

I have rust behind all four wheels but it really shows on the two backs. I wanted to know if i bought slotted rotors will it hide that rusted area or do the rotors actually replace the rusted area im talking about. Im getting the car painted pearl white next week and theres no way that rust is staying let me know thanx.

Yes, the rusty part is part of the rotor.

Just get new rotors and while they are shinny, paint the non-braking surfaces with high-temp paint.
