so i was trying to fix my break lines (back brakes) and when i was doing that my fuel line started to leak too:cry:....:barf: over half a tank of premium gone!!!:beatentodeath: but any how i need to know any tips or tricks to try to get this changed A.S.A.P. i really would love to have it done before sat ### thats when we are leaving for the shoot out any input would be nice thanks!:talon:

just rubber line it, I was on a trip in my 2g and mine started to leak due to a tear and I lost fuel pressure(it was spraying) very dangerous so I got a rubber line and ran it with clamps as a temp solution. worked fine for a 11hour drive..

howd you do it just run the rubber line over the old line and just clamp it? what i really was is a perm. fix but i really want to drive to the shoot out too:cry: i dont know what to do!

cut the old section off thats leaking and replace it with the rubber line and a clamp at each side claping it to the old metal line

I JUST did this on my brothers 90 GSX, I ran out and got 10 ft of hard line (3/16 i think) a tubing bender, some fittings, and a small tubing cutter. I took me about 3 hours all togather (im a perfectionist). I ran the The lines from the soft lines above the caliper in the wheel wells untill I found where they were in better condition with no rust, then bled the brakes. As for the fuel line, just pick up High pressure fuel line, cut the damaged piece away and toss it on there and throw a few clamps on each side.

Replace the entire brake line(s). Do not try to patch them up, theres way too much pressure you'll blow it apart and have NO brakes. Just measure the amount of line you need go to the auto parts store and get the line and the couplings.

In a pinch you can get a few feet of replacement fuel line and a compression fitting to attach it to the old pipe. It will work just fine just make sure the old line has a section that isn't rotted out. You can reuse your old couplings to the fuel pump and fuel filter if you need to. I don't think auto parts stores stock them, at least thats what I was told and they had to be ordered from the dealer. I've never had a problem reusing the old fittings though.

BTW, maybe I will see you at the shootout!

TRUST ME YOU WILL ALL SEE ME AT THE SHOOT OUTROFLROFL IF I CAN GET THIS DONE IN TIME:barf: IM GOING TO GET ALL THE SHTI TOMORROW AND IM GUNNA START IM HOPING ITS NOT THAT HORRIBLE :thumb: :talon: THANKS FOR ALL THE HELP...HAPPY BOOSTING!:thumb::thumb::thumb:
