Hey guys im new to the DSM scene. I just recently purchased a 95 Eclipse RS. I want to put a turbo on it but im not to sure on what kit to purchase for it. I dont wanna spend a ton of money but i dont wanna be cheap either. Im also not to sure how to go about doing the tuning for the vehicle once i have to turbo kit installed. All help would be appreciated. Thanks.

P.S: I was also wondering how would i go about doing the whale type wing on the back like the gst's. Is it even possible?

Check out Hahn Racecraft, they have been doing the 420A thing for a while. With something like doing a turbo kit I would suggest getting a complete kit even if it costs more, it is definitely worth the hassle in my opinion.

What engine you got the 4G63 or the 420A? Eather way your going to have a cheaper options with the 4G63 more parts made for the turbos that bolt up. Also your pistons are not made for high boost aps. on a non turbo. So try to keep it around 7 to 10psi. An there right you want it done right get a kit from hahn. It will have everything u need intercooler bov piping turbo exaust manifold o2 housing an a downpipe i think.

RS= 420a

OP: Piecing your own kit together will definately save you money, but if you are looking for ease then just get the Hahn kit. There are less tuning options for the 420a, and if you get a hahn kit you will probably just be running a 12:1 FMU which isn't reallt tunable anyways. If you want to tune then megasquirt would be your best bang for the buck. These motors can put down more power at less psi than a 4g63 because of higher compression, but the rods and pistons weren't designed to hold high boost so stock for stock the 4g63 can make more power. An intercooled 420a set-up can put down about 260whp @ around 10psi (proven #'s, but not same results for everyone). It may be in your best interest to just spend the extra $1,000 and build the bottom end. Then you will have far more options if you decide to upgrade.

Check this out if you are looking to save money :1000$ turbo kit

So i wouldnt have to do any tuning at all with the hahn system? I thought that i would have to have it tuned im only looking to run about 7-9 psi. Does anyone know how much about the Stage 2 system cost from them? Thanks for the help.
