can a non turbo tranny work in my gst?

can it work? im not sure if i have a tranny problem yet but my car is in the shop now for a engine swap. also if my engine is going can it affect the shifting of an automatic transmission?

Isn't the bell housing smaller?
Or do AWD have bigger housings.
I think the bellhousing is smaller, can anyone verify?

The non-turbo tranny comes from the Chrysler Neon motor assemblies so it will not bolt on the DSM 4g63's.

as for the tranny shifting question.. In what way is your motor going?

im not exactly sure. there was a bad knock that started and after that the car wouldnt go over
30 unless i let off the gas and then it will shift.

I'm pretty sure the NT tranny will fit,but you'll have to run a smaller clutch/flywheel

The 2g NT tranny won't. Why not just get the correct transmission replacement?
