boost gauge, and piller...and a quick question

I am gonna be buying a boost gauge and piller iam lookin to spend arond 100 all together(if possble) and i was wondering if anyone could help me i have a 1g Talon. I am gonna buy a mbc soon after too....also while iI am writing I started my talon up to move it and it idled around 2000-2100... I know the motor was cold...but iam thinking maybe a vacume leak any imput? my upper pipe runnin to my tb was rubbing on my hood at one point... i have no idea if i has a hole or not the original owner put electrical tape on it... (I just bought the car and it is stock except for a f&n filter...

Search classifieds and ebay for your gauge and pillar. Any CEL?

For the gauge pod I would suggest...

And for the boost gauge I would suggest Autometer and it all depends on what you like in terms of looks.

Auto Meter - Gauges

Look through the models and find one you like, then look it up on ebay. I have found that ebay has the best prices on the gauges.


And as for the idle issue, check your ISC (Idle Speed Control Valve) and your FIAV (Fast Idle Air Valve). Both are located on your throttle body. I would suggest buying a Haynes manual if you don't already have one and following the steps in the manual to check both your ISC and your FIAV. Or use the links below.
