Apexi Neo Important Info

I just got off the phone with a dude from Apexi Neo in Cali. I asked if I could send in my neo for an upgrade and he said the software upgrade never came over for Apexi Japan. He said that Apexi is going to issuing refunds to people that bought the neo to use a car with a Karman type sensor starting monday. He said Japan was supposed to make a software upgrade so the neo would work with karman type sensors but he said they never got it. I do not know what criteria you need to meet to get the refund because he wouldn't tell me. He mentioned something about having the orginal purchase invoice. I don't have mine as I got my Laser used. So if you have an afc neo try calling apexi california on Monday to see if you can get a refund, because the neo doesn't work with karman type maf sensors found in dsms.

Thats pretty good to know. Im gonna call them monday about mine and maybe get a refund since i still have my reciept and that money will go towards dsmlink hopefully. If not maybe they will get the upgrade and can repair it.

SO ALL Neo's Just dont work with DSM?

I Have herd they work well in our cars whats the issue/symptom if its not proper?
I have one just never installed it....I put it up for sale already maybe they will give me a refund since i recently bought it and its never been installed.

i talked to apex again yesterday and he talked to japan and the said that they had just tested new software on an evo 9 and it seems to be fixed. he said that he hoped that they would have it next week considering that japan is currently on holiday leave all this week. he is going to call me back and let me know when the fix comes in. thats all the details that i know currently. ill keep everyone updated as i get more info. things are looking up!

I also called today and they are issuing me a refund for half of the retail price, which is $230. He said I could wait till next week cause they are working on it. So i take it that the test on an evo 9 is true. I told him that I had already uninstalled it from the ecu wiring harness. So they said that there is no way they were refunding the whole $460 retail so they offed me half due to me having no receipt for the purchase. They are asking my to provide the registration of the vehicle so that I can prove that is has a karman type sensor. I am working with them to get a refund. So I guess everyone could hold out or get a refund for how much they paid.

I just got off the phone with Derin from APEXi again and he said that they are having to untangle the software and still attempting to fix this issue. He said the next update and hopfully the fix will be on October 1st. Im still crossing my fingers for this fix and figured I would let everyone else that still has a Neo that it should be coming. Good day...

It's better to stick with the basic, safc-i ($140 used), whereas going with the techno advance bling-bling Neo ($350-400). It worked great for me and got the job done.

not that i have a DSM anymore, but im glad i sold it and didn't hold on to it for the next time i own a DSM again.

HEY FELLAS I TALKED TO APEXI ON FRIDAY AND THEY SAID THE FIX IS IN. CALL THEM AT 714-685-5700. THEY WILL GIVE YOU INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW EXACTLY TO SEND IT TO. AND HE TOLD ME THAT THEY WOULD SEND A SHIRT TO COMPENSATE FOR THE SHIPPING CHARGES.
