Vee,
Which one do u guys recommend... I was reading up on the product descriptions and I'm still undecided which one to buy so i thought a little insight would be nice XD...

basically it seems like to me that the HKS is a better option because of the dual stage pull type relief valve which allows it to react at low and high boost pressures...

I was trying to research if the greddy type rs had the same function but i dont belive it does...seems like you adjust it to the proper boost level and yea...

A little help would be nice XD

I don't mean to bag on anyone elses stuff but, HKS HANDS DOWN! Yes of course its more exspensive but, it is much louder than any other BOV I have owned, Ive had a tial,Greddy, and HKS bov and the hks is much better. I still use the hks on my car today. Try to find the first version of the hks bov, it supports a recirc. valve so you can recirc to the turbo it dosn't sound as good but if you run across problems its best bang for the buck! Plus if you switch out palets of noise it just takes an allen wrench to get off and on! It is the loudest I've ever heard! Thats my opinion from use with all three.

Yeah go with the HKS. The Greddy RS's are junk IMO, heard to many bad things about them. But I'v had the Greddy Type S on my car for 1 1/2 and have not had one problem with it, plus everyone and there mother has the SSQV.

It depends on how high of boost you want to go. The Greddy RS goes good to 30psi. With no loss an to 40psi with a small loss. The HKS is good for 60psi with no loss. both you can get with a kit for RC an installation onto the pipes. Me I use the Greedy RS an run 30psi. Now if I ever build a total drag car I'll get the HKS.

i had an rs completely destroy itself under 14lbs of boost it began making a fluttering sound after that, im stuck with an x02 i got for free from a local race shop

If you are still running any maf setup except for a gm blow through setup i'd go with the hks just because i've heard stories about the RS sticking and whatnot. i had an rs for a year and a half and never had any problems with it though. If you have a standalone system that is able to run a speed density setup (AEM etc..) go with a TiAL, in my opinion they have the highest quality BOVs and wastegates out there.

i thinking of putting an intercooler and a blow off on my stock gsx.......do you have any suggestions of what brand or should i go with different plan such as exhaust..... i dont actually where to start ....my plan is to make 250-300 hp which is nt hard

well, the Greddy Type RS doesnt make the greatest sound (beat even by the Type S)

so than , HKS it is...

there is a great upgrade path in this website, but i went and found it for you, upgrade path :DSM:

I second the stock 1st gen. I own the forge 1st gen bov and after the fix I have no complaints. If you want a louder bov then get a bigger turbo. hahaha following the wonder upgrade path first though.

between those two i would rather go with a Synapse BOV
brand new is cheaper than the HKS and GReddy
and is well designed piston pull type

I have read a ton on bovs i dont claim to know all but i can say that the greddy type r is one of the best an favored non production bovs for this car. The greddy rs has mixed reviews some good some bad, tials are bullet proof but you have to tune by spring to my understanding an that can get pricey buying a new spring every time you tune. The first gen bov is the best for the money you can junkyard them all day long but they have there limits an modding them doesnt always last or go well cause they were not designed for that. I hear the hks is the most reliable an holds a ton of boost but is on every honda an there mothers car, not to mention you take your bad ass dsm an turn it into a song bird blow off valve. Turbo xs= sh)t due to leak. The thing you can do is search for sound clips on you tube if your worried about sound if your worried about only performance an reliability then buy tial or hks to my knowledge. Hope this helps if anyone can add to this feel free.

Hell I have a Knock off type S from ebay and it worked GREAT! I really dont know what to tell you. maybe start a poll and have people vote and thats the one you get. Im just not a fan of HKS. the only HKS thing I have is a Turbo timer.
