Hello there
I am new to this site and the whole Eclipse thing. I just purchased my first 1996 Eclipse GSX. I am usually into older mopar muscle cars (i own a 70 "cuda thats my baby)
and purchased this car as a daily driver. The car is 100% stock and really want to keep it that way. Well i purchased the car from my work (a salvage yard) and they got it from a shop saying it had a rod knock. When i started the car bone cold it makes a tinney noise. I did the old trick of pulling spark plug wires to see if the noise went away or change and it didnt. I was wondering if anyone has on video of a eclipse engine knocking or a lifter noise. If it is a rod knock what can i do to fix this engine so it never does this again. Are there any other engines from newer or older cars that are bullet proof for a stocker car? I really am new to this and any info would really help me out. Thank for any help
