i feel like just parting out my car and modding the N/A v6, why does the FWD family car smoke my AWD turbo car?

. did you ground your ecu before timming set? look up timming adjustment on here. if you do not ground your ecu before you move the CAS your ecu will try to over ride your adjustment.:talon:

oh i was referring to the actual timing belt timing, both camshafts were off 2-3 teeth at tdc, but after fixing it and gaining normal idle and vacuum the accel didn't change. as for boost leak test i just got done re-tightening my uicp at the smic connection and it let me gain an extra lb of boost from 5 to 6 LOL, but i still can't build over 6 psi boost. even for a little t25 would only having 6 psi boost cause such a low acceleration? the only other place that's leaking on the boost test is my stock bov, it blows right out. is it possible that it's only managing to hold 6 boost? i've got everything but a coupler to hook up my new bov, and if by putting it on lets me at least finally experience stock boost levels i'll go get one right now...

Well man the problem is just as you stated then, the stock bov. Your turbo is able to run more than that, but once you hit 6psi that bov is going to leak so much air that it will be a MASSIVE boost leak. get that fixed asap that's gotta be hurting you alot.

as already stated that sounds like the problem! go out and get that coupler, my friend had a 98gsx with stage 1 mods and free mods completed and i could out run him in my RX-8, it probably had 180 to the wheels. wasn't till he got a evo III that his car really opened up, it was like night and day.

i do believe that is the problem LOL, i just saw this thread about putting the 2g bov on backwards. i took 2 minutes to do that and fired it up, all i can say is holy shit! i wouldn't doubt i just gained 75 hp. it was like comparing a stock honda to a supercharged hemi. anyway after i thought i got whiplash i noticed that my boost gauge stopped working(intake hose blew off) and that my stock boost gauge was ticking at the top. is a mbc necessary if i have my stock bov on backwards or will i get unlimited boost with the bcs?

i threw my mbc on just to be safe, clamped the intake hose and took her for another test drive. the bov does still do it's job and blows off the air, but it 10x louder than in the stock position. and when i let off the throttle from a high rpm i heard a high pitched sound so loud my ears are still ringing LOL. im not sure thats my style so im heading out for a coupler now.

it's a flutter sound, not sure if it's good or bad since im not used to boost...

this is how it was when i first got the car, duct tape ftl LOL. so switching back the bov should be best if it could be surge?

alright chopped up stock uicp threw on adapter pipe with flange and ended up using my intake coupler so i went back to stock intake pipe until new coupler gets in the mail. LOL the only recirc hose i have is some 12" flex hose so it's all funny looking for now, but that weird sound went away and now im left with the ole jet turbine sweet sound. never again will i get beat off the line by minivans or family cars, unless my uicp blows off. so far i managed to test out a 14 psi launch, it's pretty dramatic to see your car go from 14 sec 0-60 times to ~4 to 5 secs. no weird smells either besides the fried june bugs that were swarming me while installing it.
