I have two AN fittings. A 90* one and a 45* one. I'm trying to up the whole fuel line to -6 line. The 45* fitting will not fit onto the adapter I have for the fuel rail yet the 90* one fits just fine. Both fittings can fit onto the -6 male on the fuel filter fine. What's going on? Why does one work but not the other when the both fit fine on the -6? Am I missing something here?

Check to make sure your threads are not pipe thread. I just did my line from my Russel filter to my 1g rail that I tapped for AN fittings. If it is pipe thread it might thread onto one of them for like 8 threads or so but then won't go any further. They are a PITA to do I know that much but I finally got mine done after 3 different orders because of the wrong parts being sent and my fault of not being able to figure out exactly what I needed because it was the first time I used AN lines

I'm pretty sure they're not pipe threads since one of the fittings can fit onto it and it has the 35* flare at the end for the fitting to seal with. I also blasted them with brake cleaner in case any debris was lodged in between the threads. No luck. I'm going to have to switch the 90* with the 45*. Will be an awkward setup but it won't be permanent.
