I hate to post this because I know I've read this somewhere before on the site! but I'm goin to look at a 91 AWD 5 speed Talon tomorrow and its got no power options. No power windows, doors, no ac, and no moon roof, no leather.

The car is in great condition overall with 86k for a 1g!. Now I've read about these cars before but can't find it anywhere. Are these special cars from the factory? Are they more rare than the power option ones? I've gotta head to work so responses really appreciated for when I return. I'll post up some pics when I return! Thanks

Fairly rare, but no real effect on value either because of the rarity, or because of the low trim level.

I see..........Thanks for the reply..............now here are the pics I promised.

Ok so the pics don't show the bad stuff on the car. There's little rust spots(just surface rust), the power mirrors broke, window is off trac, headliner sags, and headlights both stuck up.

The car idled at about 1500rpm but when I gave it gas the idle would drop below 1500 and sounded like stalling and then went back up. What would cause this? Video below and more pics.

He also has a 90 throttle body on it with ducktape holding the wires for the afc engine management.

He also said something about the 2nd gear syncro going when shifting hard.

Its got an evo 3 16g, fmic, afc, a/f guage, and boost gauge.

It's no rare, I have a '90 TSi that didn't come with those features too after all it's a '91 car. See this way, if you're buying this car strictly to put mods you'll save the time of taking those accessories out but it you want you can easily get the accessories.

By the way does the car have power steering?

what no motor pics? looks good so far.
From the looks of the clean car I'd say the engine is clean and has upgrades seeing that it has a FMIC.

Ya haha.......I didnt have time to resize the engine bay pic but I'm gotta get it in a sec here
Less than 10k on headwork and motor overhaul...........still needs some tlc.

Stupid question, but what is that shifter knob off of? It reminds me of my old Conquest or Stealth TT knob!

I just bought my 90 Talon TSI for $1300 and its not NEARLY as clean as that!! GREAT FIND!

That would be a dump tube. Instead of piping the exhaust through the wastegate and back into the exhaust, the PO just has it dumping to the atmosphere. A lot of people do it.

He has a turboback exhaust on it...........do you think thats why he did it? And is it good for the car?

Nice find. Super clean inside.
