Well I just upgraded to a new, larger turbo and i was wondering if anyone can help me figure out what kind my old one is, I know its Turbonectics t3/t4 but i dont know what kind
Id like to buy a rebuild kit for it since it has shaft play but i dont know which kind to get, ive looked on their website but i couldnt find it. Also I plan on selling it, how much do you think its worth with the shaft play or if i rebuild it.

t3 t4 means 4 inch intake and 3 inch exhaust I think.
Wrong.

T3/T4 refers to the use of a T3 turbine section and a T4 compressor section.

At a glance (without measurement) the turbo appears to be a Turbonetics T04B 50-trim (3" compressor inlet,2" compressor outlet) paired to a Garrett T3-flanged 5-bolt turbine housing. There's a Turbonetics Deltagate in the photo, too.

Be advised that most Turbonetics turbos use a "big-shaft" turbine, and a 360* thrust plate that bolts down, which is sort-of unique to Turbonetics. You can use a Garrett 360* plate but it will need to be modified. This turbo would use Garrett T3 journals bearings and end seals.

If you just call Turbonetics and give them the numbers on it they will tell you exactly what it is. Unfortunately if it is an older Turbonetics they won't rebuild it.

I have a 60-1 that is about 2 years old and because of the age they don't carry the rebuild parts anymore. They recently switched there shafts so hopefully yours is a newer shaft.

The "3" and "4" are Garrett's own nomenclature....it has nothing to do with inches. If what you're thinking holds true, then a TD05H would have a 5" inlet, right?

Im not sure. I now that the intake is 2 1/4 inches the part the air intake goes on. The exhaust I have never measured. I would think the 5 would stand for cm right?
