If you want a turbo that will bolt up with little to no fab work, this is not the turbo for you. It will require you to get a new exhaust manifold, oil lines, intake pipe, O2 housing and some more. I highly recommend going with a turbo that will bolt directly to the stock exhaust manifold it possible. I run one of the more expensive of these turbos- the FP3052. A setup like this will run over $2000. It really depends on your goals for the car when deciding what turbo to get. I think a 16g of some sort would be a great idea. They are cheap, can make good power, and will essentially bolt right up in place of the 14b. Hope this helps.

well,, im going with the 16g... so im taking if i do get the 16g from ebay,, is it bad,,,?
eBay 16G's are terrible. None will last over 5k, some even die at the 50 mile mark. Many of these turbos are assembled in shops without quality control, and they don't even component-balance the turbine and compressor wheels prior to assembly. The way they look at it, the turbos literally cost them $5 to build....even if they throw away 6 junk turbos to sell you 1 good one, they're still coming out ahead.

There are things that can be done to increase their durability including replacing the chinese journal bearings with new Garrett Bronze T3 journals, and boring out the 22mm wastegate hole to take full advantage of the 34mm flapper that the turbos come with, but for the time and hassle, you're truly better off getting a MHI turbo.

see i was worried about that,, i found some 16g,, but there about 500 to 700dollars,,

That's about the going rate for new 16g's. You might be able to find some cheaper used, but the adage "You get what you pay for" is generally true with turbos.

what is clipped turbine wheel? i was looking at different 16g,, and the option were ported with a clipped turbine wheels?

There are tons of threads on this if you search.

Clipping is normally needed when running a compressor wheel that pushes alot of airflow into a small turbine. The turbine becomes a restriction; clipping reduces the backpressure to aid in flow at high boost.

There are plenty of guys who are torn as to whether or not clipping will help or ruin a turbo. Remember- if a 16G needed to be clipped to be most efficient, it would've came that way from the factory.

if i upgrade to the 16g,, should i change anything else,,, computer,, fuel,, ?

You will need to add fuel....LOTS of fuel....to take full advantage of a 16G.

It depends on what you're using to tune with, and what your max boost level will be. For 90% of daily-driven DSM's with a 16G, 550's are sufficient.

650's require too much correction for guys tuning with an AFC and running low boost on a 16G, but are great if you're consistently over 20psi.

That should read "CDM" turbos, meaning "Chinese Domestic Market."

They'll tell you anything you want to hear to make a sale....there's even an eBay vendor selling a knockoff ball-bearing turbo listed as both a 3071R and a 3076R in two different listings- that's the SAME turbo being sold under two different sizes. If you're even bold enough to break it down by measurement, the ball-bearing turbo that vendor is selling doesn't measure up to a 3071 OR a 3076.

Other guys are listing blowoff valves that are good up to 1000hp. That's right, a knockoff BOV that will hold boost up to 1000hp.

You believe what you want, I'm telling you what I've learned from experience.
