Well I just recently picked up a 1990 eclipse gsx. I'm excited to start building it but it will take time. Right now i'm trying to save up money to start working on the drivetrain. The car runs and moves, but i figure probably this winter time I will pull the trans and center diff and take it to shep to have rebuilt. I need to find a 4-bolt rear also. Things that are done now are Big 16g, 2 g manifold, buschur fmic, 550 injecters, afx wideband, safcII, and palm datalogger. Looks to be a fun project though. Here are some pics of it right now.

picked it up for $1800. yea with the goodies it already has gives me a good starting platform to go off of. i've been around dsm's and evo's for a while and figured it was my time to start a project.

awsome find for that price.... i noticed the different color though any chance could have been wrecked..... or the hood flying up...had that happen to me once in my 1g.

It has a clear carfax report and I asked the kid before i bought it about the different color bumper and hatch, he bottomed out and broke the front bumper so he took the one off of his parts car and put that bumper on this car and the hatch he got because it doesn't have the hole for the rear wiper. Just needs some TLC, but atleast its in the hands of someone thats willing to take their time and do things right instead of a young kid just going out and thrashing on it and sending it to the scrap yard.

I'm on my first project, too, so I'm in the same boat as you. Only I'm the first owner of my car. :) But, still, it *is* my first project. I'm already hooked. I'm sure you will be, too. :thumb:

I'm very excited about the project. Getting ready to pull the tranny and center diff. here in the next couple of weeks. Hope all goes well and if anyone has suggestions please let me know. Thanks

Ya the car does look clean. Now is a good time to replace all of your clutch components if they havent already, new flywheel, also check the tranny/engine mounts. I got the ACT street clutch and a fidanza flywheel and have been smoking everybody since. Good luck on your project.

I had to make a 17 hour round trip to get it but yes it was well worth the drive. Luckly I have a buddy that knows a good bit about these cars to help me find the right deal.

well my t-case went out last night in the car. Now I just have to find a way to get it home. Well I have to pull the driveshaft first then find a way to get it home. Luckly I was going to be starting on the drivetrain here soon anyways.

Well i'm going to have shep rebuild the transmission and center diff. Any ideas what i should do with the tranfer case?? All help is appricated.
