i Found a fliped eagle talon in the junk yart 1992 5 speed. and my turbo as a lot of you know is bad. And the turbo is still in this car i felt and there is no shaft play at all and it spins fine. they want 75 bucks. Same housing number as my turbo is this turbo also a 14b? The whole engine looks like mine im thinkin its same turbo. They were driving it when it fliped so im guessing the turbo seals are probly fine witch it whats wrong with mine. think i should get it?

If it is a stock turbo then it is a 14b.

I would not pay 75 for it but that is just me. You need to decide what it is worth to you. I would look around for other alternatives as people get rid of the 14b all the time on here.

When you looked at the turbo did it have staggerd compressor wheel fins like on a 16g here:

Or did it look like a 14b's compressor wheel here:

If it is like this one then it is a 14b if it is like the first one it could potentially be anything from a S16g, B16g, E316g, 18g, or even a bastard 20g.

I would get it either way since you need a turbo and that one does not have much or any shaft play. That's a cheap replacement and if it's an upgraded turbo then it's a bonus!! :thumb:
