Switched trans housings (bell housing TOB shaft broke off). Now on startup, the car 'binds', but certainly starts. This wasnt a problem before. Also, infrequently, the tack will spike quick to 4 or 5k then go back to 1k @ startup. A buddy suggested testing injector pack resistance (HOW/WHAT #'s??). What do you guys think? Thanks

if the starter is binding up, the you obviously need to adjust it. usually you can get away without using a shimm by forceing it as close to the flywheel as possible when you tighten it down.. try adjusting it some more.

Im currently not running any shims on the starter - to be honest, I dont really care so much about the starter; I have a lifetime warranty and you know that story. The tach spiking is what worries me. I checked all the grounds and went over the wires quick. Also, the ABS light stays on after some startups - anyone make any electrical sense of this mess?
