ok guys im gonna need need your input on what i think is a bad coil.
recently ive been feeling my spark break up so i changed my plugs out today, i went to the track and my car got completly goofy. i do not have dsm link and i know how to read a boost gauge. It was giving it self anti lag it held it self at 4,000 rpms and 14lbs of boost for about 30 seconds and then it would stop. Bpr7es plugs gapped to .025 i went a little smaller because i was feeling it break up and oem style wires. do you agree the coils going bad and i should order new coils wires and plugs. By the way i took 3rd place in the fwd class and i would have taken 1st but i changed my dial in time and busted out i ran exactly what my dial in was :):):):):):):):)

If it is bad coils just replace the coils with stock coils and spark wires.

Coil on plug wouldn't be a good idea. It would still misfire on stock ignition, you'll need an MSD DIS or Dynatek ARC2 and you'll see no gain if you're running stock engine. So save yourself the $700-800 until you get into 600-700 hp then c.o.p. will help.

I fixed the problem it was a combo problem of fouled plugs and when i did my boost leak test my maf plug didn't seat right and i was driving down the road and lookin at the stock boost gauge and it was reading full vacum even though i was under boost jiggled it around and no more problem.

just to play devils advocate. i run 28 psi on a 50trim daily with a COP setup without an ignition amplifier. Not saying everyone can get away with this or i might not be on the very edge of my setup, but its working great for me

A c.o.p. isn't even need for 50 trim or GT35R. The chance of you needed a c.o.p. is when you get up in the 650+ hp for drag racing riding on 7000-9500 rpm went your turbo spools. Plus eBay coil packs aren't going to do it.

I run 35+ pounds with 20+ degrees of timing with stock ingtion. No ignition box or anything. And I know several other people who do as well. Theres nothing wrong with stock ignition
