Ok so I after searching I found out that a 91+ tps wont work on a 90 tb, but that I still have another question. Is there anyway that I can get the three sensor plug to plug into four wire plug on my 98 eclipse?

the best way to find out would be to check out alldata and see what each wire does. you might get away without using one wire. but then again you may not. it just all depends on what each wire is for.

Some people can't afford a 5,000 dollar program :p. Shouldn't the haynes tell you what it does?

Ha ha yea thats a little bit out of my price range.
The only thing that Haynes says is how to check it and how to replace it.

If you have a 91+ throttle body on the car you can run the 2G TPS. If your trying to run a 90 style TB your really better off getting a later TB rather than making it work.

The fourth wire is for the IPS and it's pin 3 on the connector.
Pin 1 is +5, pin 2 is the output, pin 3 the IPS on a 2G, pin 4 is ground.

The 1G throttle body has the IPS on the back side by the pulley.

Ok Steve your explanation really confused me.
Im trying to get my 1g tps to work on my 2g. Is there a way to get the three sensor tps to plug in to the port on my 2g?

You don't want to run the 1G TPS if you can help it. The 2G TPS will work on a 91+ 1G TB and you don't have to modify the wiring, it will plug right in.

If you must run a 1G TPS you have to provide an IPS signal somehow to pin 3. The 1G IPS is on the throttle body over the pulley where on a 2G it's inside the TPS.

If you have a 90 throttle body, dump it.
