BOV upgrade

Sorry to ask this again becasue im sure its been asked a million times but to upgrade my bov on my 90 tsi I cant just switch it can I?

If upgrading from the stock 1g bov, just make sure it is able it recirculates like the stock bov does. Unless, you have a GM maf translator or speed density setup. Alot of aftermarket bov's can be purchased with a recirculating fitting. More info can be found on this site using the search feature.

These are some choices (Some may require that you get hard upper intercooler piping)

1. Find a bov with the 1g dsm flange built in. Bolt in on like stock. (easiest)

2. You can choose the bov you want like an HKS, greddy, tial or whatever and see it there's an adapter for it then, you can bolt on the adapter to the stock bov flange and bolt on your new bov.

3. Using a greddy bov like the type rs, you can just line the gasket up over the stock 1g flange, mark the holes and drill them out. You can then install the greddy bov. You can search on how to do this.

4. Find an adapter pipe with the flange of the bov you choose then, use couplers to mount it on to your upper intercooler piping. These can be found on ebay and other places.

5. Get a flange of the bov you choose, take your piping to a shop and get it welded onto your piping in place of the stock 1g flange.

What type of BOV are you getting? Most can recirculate, or someone has found a DIY way.

I don't think that there is a way to recirc that particular BOV unless apex'i sells a recirc adapter.

i dont think so either, the guy i got it from said he used a gm mas. not a big deal ill just have to get one and install it anyways.

yea just recirculate it u can just buy a greedy type s or rs and still use the stock flange
