Weird Boost Leak Test

Ok i did a boost leak test and it wont even pressurize, i can hear all of the air leaking out of my exhaust. I was wondering what could cause this?

your valves are probally open try to rotate the motor then try again.

What are you using to pressurize the intake?

I've never had to turn my engine to any specific position when doing a boost leak test, but I'm also using 10 gallon air compressor.

right, what are you using to put air in the system.

Im using a 2hp 12gal air compressor. it says 3.7 scfm at 40psi and 2.6 scfm at 90psi. is this an ok air compressor?

So what was the problem? Engine position or was the air compressor too small?

It shouldnt matter what compressor you have. It should hold pressure.

I would be willing to bet that the engine was in a position to give you some valve overlap, judging by your upgraded cams. try turning the engine a few degrees and test again.
