Am gonna be getting a 50 or 60-trim turbo to replace my small 16G (with the car specs in my profile) and need some injectors to upgrade my current 550cc ones. Am wondering whether people would recommend 750cc or 850cc ones. Am thinking of 850ccs as I am using an Ostrich emulator on my ECU and I can alter the global injector value and injector deadtime if necessary. I just know some people say 850s can be overkill, but I doubt it in this case.

Just wanted to check what you guys thought about this.

id say 850's...the duty cycle should be good especially if you can get it to run like stock and all
im getting a 20g turbo in the upcoming months and i was looking for a set of 780's...u should be good with the 850's but the 750's wouldnt be BAD...

Ok, if you want to go with 750 just get 850's an save you some money an send them off to get upgraded your 550's can be upgrades an ballanced to 850's for about 200 bucks 850 cost 329 or so. Now if you want to go bigger like 1050 I would just go for 1600's since there only a few bucks more.

I would go with the smaller size of injectors just for the fact you are not using any Engine Management just a Ostritch Emulator, remember that you are just controlling the injector value, as far as duty cycle it would be a pain to control bigger injectors without any sort of engine management remember that by changing injector size and their duty cycle and value you may need also to adjust your timing to make it work efficiently. If you want efficiency and drivability go with the smaller injectors, with your setup it would be easier to adjust. :thumb:

hmmmm..... i just found this thread in a search and was wondering about using 850s with a 50 trim and esmLink

I would stay way away from 1000's or 1600's. That is way overkill and the driveability and idle quality are way less than 750's or 850's... I would go with 850's personally.

Go big or buy new later you can always tune them down but its unsafe to turn them yo Bhutan increasing fuel pressure so buy them once if you have a good idea of how much HP you wanna make use the calculator at the above pink and type it in the specs you have and consider a good fuel pressure regulator with boost option and you will be set

What do you mean that it is unsafe to tune the injectors?
