montreal,
so i brought my car to the garage to get my exhaust installed, the i took it for a test drive and my wideband wasnt reading anything it was just showing the 3 lines, so after 2 minutes it just shut off i dont see anything, now i borowed my friends wideband (just the gauge) and it was readeing for a bit then got stuck on 15. After all that i put it back in his car and it did the same thing to his car it was stuck on 14.8. Can someone tell me what could be the problem?

ps: its a aem uego

You dont hear about problems like this very often:confused:All i can say is check all the wiring. What throws me off is how you said it did it on your buddy's car too.I also think it sounds like you may have fried both gauges:coy:I hope he's a good friend:)

I was going to say that, but i wasnt 100% sure. It's weird that it would do it on his buddy's car too. Did you guys let the sensor warm up? Mine sits at 14.7 for about 2 minutes then it cycles, and goes back to 14.7-15.0

If the wiring isnt connected it will just rest at stoich the whole time. My alternator belt snapped and took at my wiring harness Ive had a plug in the exhaust and have the harness unhooked from the gauge and it still reads 14.8 all day long. Anyone have a spare harness for an autometer wideband laying around?

yes he drove it for like 2 hours and how can the wiring be wrong if it was working good on his car, maybe a wire got pulled when i was trying to remove the gauge from the pod could that be?

check the pins on the back of the gauge, they bend if you put the harness plug in at an angle. if you did try to bend it back with a pick tool or something like that
