i have changed the fan switch now 3 times....2 scrapyard ones...and one i know is good.
and im pissied and it still doesnt work.

i changed the fan realy by the fuse box....and checked all fuses and they look good.

im lost....if the switch is good how can it not be working...?

pls help me

You covered everything I would have thought of. Is it possible the fan's just not pushing enough air to feel it inside the car when it's on the low setting? Kind of stupid, I know...but it's worth a shot.

You need to replace the resistor pack that is located in the air duct behind the center console... These resistors are what are responsible for the variety of speeds of the fan/blower motor. -From the sounds of it, you have a resistor pack that has one of the resistors blown out on it, thus missing the lowest speed, despite swapping out the switch itself.

i just wanted to say thanxs for the advice.
i went and took out the resistor pack and it was broken and missing a huge piece of ceramic.
i went to the local wreckers....on a sat...10 bucks for a used one and now my 1 2 3 4 works mint...
so thank u!!

No problem, I'm glad it worked out for you :thumb:

...for future thread reference, the 1G resistor pack is located on the end of the "C-11" connector:
It is a square (2x2 pin) plug that plugs into the heatercore housing... The resistors themselves are mounted inside the air vent and can not be seen directly from underneither the dash.

Here's a diagram of the circuit:
