I had my pushrod adjusted on my master cylinder yesterday since my clutch pedal was just squishy and now today when I got off work and got on the highway my clutch started slipping pretty good. Its still the stock clutch so I dont know how much its gonna handle so I thought Id ask if adjusting the pushrod and stiffening up the pedal pressure could cause thise to happen?

I would adjust it back to where it was. Fine felt funny so I adjusted the rod and it started to slip. I put it back and it worked fine. A good way to fix the mushy pedal is a stainless steel clutch line, doest expand like the rubber and is easy to install. The thing is if you adjust that rod to much its like you are pushing in on your pedal while driving and not getting the full clamping force.

yeah, i would def. start saving for an upgrade soon. As soon as i installed my boost controller and set it to 15psi i was in need of a new clutch the first test drive. As soon as it spooled past 12 psi. it slipped. Good investment though:)

When I bought the car a year ago the owner said it was on its 2nd engine that he knew of from the owner before him. It was grinding gears in 1st and reverse until I adjusted it, it helped shifting significantly. But now it slips at start of boost around 3500rpm. Im gonna readjust the pushrod and buy a new clutch. Any clutch suggestions? Ive ran an ACT and loved it.

I got a CFDF its great they rated it at 390 torque. Its like a 2500 when put up to an act. The pedal feels like stock. The duel friction it like having stock engaugement an a 6puck for gripping. which is how there disk are made. CF doesnt make replacements becuase the disk are made to last to the pressure plate. So you would have to order a CFDFX disk to replace it.
