98 gst very minor upgrades. 16g turbo , front mount , turbo timer thats about it.
well heres the problem. car pulls fine at 10lbs of boost till it hits 6k rpm. then it bogs down and starts to miss . if u push it a bit it gives a small backfire and bucks , starts to pull again then starts to miss etc. replaced plugs and wires . idles fine starts fine .doesnt seem like a boost leak leanin more towards electrical.
any and all help appreciated

Well. I would start by doing a boost leak test:pSince you say you don't THINK it's a boost leak that means you dont know. If that is not your problem start looking at ignition. What plugs are you running, and what are they gapped at?Do a search, and read the forum rules:thumb:

plugs r autolite 63 and gap is set at .029 . a bit more info there is no engine miss in lower gears only third and up thanks

If it were the plugs, you would notice that miss all the time. But because I hate Autolite plugs with a passion , Id agree on switching to Ngks. The leak test should tell the tale.

Not necessarily, not if your getting spark blow out under maximum volumetric efficiency. Which would be right around 5500-6500rpms on a stock head/IM. That, however, would be more the gap of the plug than the brand, but our engine's seem to like NGK's best anyway.

i was driving my 2g and the check engin light came on it runs and idals fine intill i get the turbo going then it shows boost on the aftermarket gauge but the car shows no power but doesnt miss or smoke any ideas would be great thanks

is it just one of the stock 02 sensonrs that upgrades to the wideband or safc?? im confused sorry man
