So I recently came across threads for "eliminator" turbos from both turbochargers.com and slowboy that are about 5 years old and was wondering what ever happened to them? Are they still available or was it a failed project? The info I tried reading about them either doesn't exist anymore or the thread just died. If anyone knows anything about these turbos, let me know. I'm interested in the fact that you only need an oil return line in order to install them on a 2g. Thanks in advance.

Wtf, why? It seemed like such a good idea, at least for 2g's anyway...any idea on why they where done away with?

There were a few reasons they were "eliminated" - The main reason, there are so many other options at great prices... the product does not really fit the market anymore... at least that is my opinion.

Call any of the vendors on here - chat with them - and see what "fit's the bill".

I'll do that, just sucks to see something like that just come and go. It would have been nice to bolt something directly on that's a little bigger than a t-28, which I still don't see the point in. I mean, most places have them priced the same if not more than an e316g WITH an install kit. I was hoping these would have been in that same price range.

The same reason the Frank 20G's aren't a huge item. Who wouldn't like a 60-trim Garrett equivalent with a center housing that bolts up just like a 14B using all the stock oil and coolant lines? Someone who wants to save $500 by just buying the Garrett.

The Frank 20G's start as a normal 20G turbo, which costs more than most Garrett hybrids stock. Add to that the cost of a Garrett 60-trim compressor wheel and all of the necessary machine work / porting, and you have a $1300 20G. For that much you could own a GT30R.
