So i thought my car had a boost problem, which i fixed all the boost leaks. When it gets to like 3.5k or higher rpm it start to stumble or jerk. It does this whether im at full throttle or light throttle. So i pulled my brand new plugs and there all black and gunked. So i put them all back in at .028 gap. started the car and one by one pulled the wires off the top of the spark plugs. The two center spark plugs click loudly and arcs electricity inside the spark plug hole when i hold it slightly aboe the top of the spark plug. but the outside two make almost no clicking noise or arced electricity. So i went and bought new wires thinking maybe i had bad wires. another 50 dollars down the drain because my problem persists. even with new wires the outside 2 wires dont make a very good spark. Should i check the wiring on the coil pack, is there a relay i should check? or should i buy a whole new coil pack? The coil pack also makes 3-8 clicking noises in quick succesion after the car is first started..... my firing order is also differnet then what the Haynes manual says it should be, if i put it in the haynes manual way the car just turns over and backfires violently....

There`s a possibility that the transistor is bad, however, based on the arcing that you are hearing, I would suspect the coil pack. Try spraying water from like a windex bottle on the coil pack with the car idling - if the coil is arcing, this will make it arc badly to the point where you can actually see the arcing & where it`s coming from . . . :talon:
