Hi guys, 1st real post!!!!(not an intro thread admins!!!!)

1st I wanted to complement on how well build this community and forum is. It's probably the best I have come across and I have been apart of the LS1tech/F-body, VWs, and 67-72chevytrucks (best fabricators) forums. I get on here and read every day and have been scene march but I have yet to even bother asking a question because I don't ever have to, they've been already answered at one point(this forum owns:D).

But my question that I haven't been able to find is, how much did 1g's and their options run on the lot back in the early 90's? Does anybody happen to have a link to any ads?:dsm:

They were still cheaper than other turbo cars of the same era. I played with turbo coupe T-birds before I got into dsm's. The 87 I had I bought from the original owner and they still had the original window sticker. It was over 25k back in 87!

Defiant has it pretty close.
In 1991 the Consumer Price Index (CPI) was 136 and today it is 216. (ftp://ftp.bls.gov/pub/special.requests/cpi/cpiai.txt)

So that $17.2K then would be $27.3K today.

When I bought my new 1966 V8 powered Mustang fastback for $2.75K the CPI was 32.4. That makes it about $20.6K in today's dollars.

Hmmm interesting, in 1959 when a dollars worth of gas put five gallons in the tank the CPI was 29.1 or about a buck and a half a gallon now. Whaddayaknow gas is expensive today.

I have the window sticker for my 91 TSi AWD, all options minus leather and sunroof; ~$19k.

OMG Sounds dumb but I've always wanted to get a binder and collect window sticks, but you really don't come across very good ones on eBay.

I'd say they're closer to loaded WRX prices than EVO prices. Which makes sense.

So in about 15+ years we can rock 2008 Subaru turbo's for 3 grand :) Or the equivalent of 3 grand in 15 years which will be who knows how much LoL
