Terrace,
Is there any way to change the waterpump without pulling the engine? For instance, would it work if I were to pull the engine mounts and drop down the engine a bit leaving the tranny mount as a pivot?

yep, and if i were you i would replace the timing belt and all the other little important things while its all of.

Get a Haynes Manual.

Put both of these together get a Haynes/Chilton book and also get a new timing belt and tensioner. You don't want to put it back together and then a week later the belt snaps.

Ditto everything everyone else said, but go for the gold! Get all new accessory drive belts, too. They all have to come off to get to the T-belt, to get to the water pump... Then you can keep the old ones in the spare-tire well for emergencies. You might want to have access to a replacement idler/tensioner pulley for the accessory belt. Mine has been found to be toast in the past. Be careful putting the lower timing belt covers back on, they tend to distort and clearances are close to nil. You'll hate yourself if you get everything back together, only to realize you have to take it all back apart to realign the lower cover.

Hey,

I just bought a 92 awd turbo eclipse the other day. I'm trying to replace the waterpump but am having difficulties. Is their a write-up of step by step instructions on this website? i can't seem to find any information. Thanks again.:)

Im sure there is, pull off the pulleys on the drivers side, then you have to pull the timing belt off. The pump itself is easy to put on but the timing could be a problem for you. So basically your doing a timing belt, because there is only a few bolts for the wp, and a gasket.

Also check vfaq.com.

Do you have a guide for our cars a manual?

Do it right do it once, replace the belt balance belt, and the tensioner they have kits on the vendors.
I know it sucks but it has to be done.

Thanks guys i appreciate the help.# also, im looking for a full injector wire harness (dunno what its called).# as well as the injectors. but i cant find anything on google.
