I have researched a lot of threads trying to figure out the correct fuel set up for my project. My goal for this season was around 600hp. My current set up is a 2.3L stroker with a stage 3 TRE trans, FP3065 full kit w/fp manifold, AEM EMS, AEM fuel rail, fic 1050 inj., aremotive fpr. I have a wal.255 pump intank from my last build.
:confused:I am undecided weather to run a twin intank fuel pump set up or go to a fuelcell. I have done a lot of research but they both have there ups and downs. here is one thread I found somewhat helpful
http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/newbie-forum/206168-dual-intank-fuel-pumps.html
I have the money to order, however I have made many mistakes on past builds with fuel so im trying to figure everything out.
Please only respond if you are currently running a twin pump intank or cell. Im trying to get facts from both configurations weather you liked one more then the other and why.

Are there any good tec articals you know of on that, or members you could refure me to to get a little more info possibly. I would like to keep the factory tank and hit my goals. I also want make my decition by friday so I can get the car together. I really have spent a lot of money and time on this build. I would like to get it tunned so I can hit the track this year. Im going to research that 044 set up, thanks.

I did a little searching and think thats a good idea and coast effective. Do you know what size the fitting inlet/outlet is on the 044 or where to pick one up for a good price sence your from michigan 2. I will pm the the members to see if they cant help me out a little , thanks.

PM Dan (project_tsi) about the fittings. He bought them from Lane Automotive in Michigan, but I cant remember exactly which fittings he bought.

Look for a 10u size filter with a pretty large surface area to decrease the pressure drop across it.

make sure when you put inline you put it as close to the tank/cell as possible. they do better pushing then pulling

I am going to install it this weekend. If im not mistaken, jay sent install instructions with the kit. Im also feeding it with a wal255 so for the goals I have im not even pushing close to the limits of the set up. Im looking to break in my 2.3l this season with a fp3065. I would like to see 550 to 600hp on this set up.

I was considering that to. Extremepsi sells a 255 inline kit for around 100. I would like to find out some exact numbers to see if that set up can def. support 600hp. Also what size lines/fittings are ran to support 600hp.

The Walboro 255HP in-tank/255HP in-line dual pump setup with -6AN feed line will be more than plenty for your 600HP goal. I am doing 1000HP on that setup without problems using PTE 1000cc fuel injectors, and a -6AN in-line fuel filter.

Here is an extremely detailed writeup I did for another DSMTuners member having the same question as you have:

Good luck!
