Ok I can start the car and it runs fine but.. The only way to start the car is bypassing the starter relay, I have to put a jumper wire in it to start the car. Here's what happened. I just put the car back together after redoing fuel lines and changing out old turbo gaskets and what not. Ok then when I go to start it, of course it takes my car more than a couple of turn overs. Come to find out my coolant temp sensor wire was cut but on another note ok the engine was turning over trying to start. It did this at a couple of different times because I would turn it over a couple of times and then charge the battery a little. Well on one of the times I was doing this I started cranking the car and the engine was turning over fine, but not starting. Well all of a sudden the engine stopped turning over and all I heard was a tick from the starter relay. Well I know it can be one of 2 things either the clutch pedal switch OR the factory alarm that is sending a signal to the starter relay making it click to the off position. Thus making no available power to the starter and thus my motor doesn't turn over. Now like i said I can get the car started and running like a champ but its only when I jump the blk/red wire to the blk/yellow wire in the starter relay plug???? I am almost stumped, is there a fuse that could have blown to the factory alarm or the clutch pedal switch???

Test the voltage on starter relay green/black wire. If 0 then the starter relay is being activated (which disables the starter circuit) by either the clutch pedal position switch being closed or the theft alarm starter relay being activated. If +12V then the starter relay is not being activated (which enables the starter circuit) but the relay closed contacts are not making contact (which connect the black/red to the black/yellow) so a faulty relay.

If you don't care about the clutch position switch and the theft alarm disabling the starter, then you can remove the starter relay and permanently jumper the black/red to the black/yellow.

 Man what a pain in the arse, I disconnected the theft alarm relay and tested the carm still a no start. Then I disconnected the clutch pedal switch and STILL a no start. So I decided im probably just gonna go with a permanent jumper wire or...a ricer start switch just to jump the starter relay. But here's the thing I went to turn on my a/c today and to my knowledge EVERYTHING was working when I parked the car in my shop. I parked it there because I needed to redo the fuel lines because I had a -8 fuel line ran between the firewall and the frame and it was pinched. So I began taking all the intercooler piping off on the intake side and ran the lines to the fuel rail... Well I ended up replacing the starter and the + starter cable since they were both bad. And I had to splice in a new coolant temp sensor plug because Mine was destroyed. But now that I put the car all back together and it runs beautifully, Engine wise, my freaking a/c is not working. And I don't mean not blowing cold I mean I have absolutely NOO power to the a/c. The blower is working or anything. So I check all the fuses on the car inside and out. And visually they checked out but I didn't put a tester on them and check them all. And I also swapped a working relay to check and see if the a/c would maybe work and NOPE. I am wondering now if this little problem now is all tied in. Likes car wont start w/o a jumper wire even when the theft alarm start relay is pulled out and the clutch pedal switch removed. Maybe theres a main plug disconnected somewhere. I dunno please HELP!!!

It all depends on where you bypassed the starter relay. If you did it right at the relay (and then it works) that means the relay is bad (normally off contacts are not making good connection). In that case I would just leave the jumper in and the relay out. If you did it at the starter you have a bad wire, or relay, or fuse - use voltmeter to find.

Yeah I jumped it at the relay but I have tested 2 other relays as well and it still doesn't work. Well now I am just going to leave the jumper in place but Now I have to figure out this a/c problem.
