I need some DSM advice replace Tranny or diff

If you had limited mechanical ability (the hardest thing i have done was a clutch.) would you try and replace a cracked front diff or replace the tranny. goodyear qouted me 650$ just for labor thats too much im on my own with this one any advice would help

If youve already done a clutch job, you can replace a transmission, kinda goes hand in hand when you need to pull the tranny to do the clutch.

Replacing the center diff shouldnt be too difficult, the tranny will be out regardless. So you can choose to replace the diff or just the whole tranny, depending on overall condition.

Replacing the front differential isnt TOO hard, its more of a PITA. You can do it with the transmission in the car. I would have a few buddies help you out on that one.
